Redesigning How We Gather

In the workplace, there is an assumption that work has to be conducted in a certain way, and that is the only way that tasks are fulfilled. Alas, in our everchanging society, the reality is that all companies function in their own way, based on their needs and factors they feel best impact their culture. As we begin to reimagine what we consider the workplace, one must also look at how gatherings within them have changed as well.

Gathering, while stemming from a team’s need to meet, supports companies in their own ways as well. It also entails how employees feel about their connections and gives a sense of empowerment during and after gatherings. Instead of just being a time for shared ideas, they now create a sense of community and belonging between coworkers. Because while companies run their organizations in their own unique way, the meaning behind communication and connections has a greater emphasis than ever before.

Meetings and gatherings allow for co-workers around the globe to connect with people they may not have the chance to otherwise, when working remote or in a different office locations. The transformational approach needed to reinvent these gatherings allows for companies to have a fresh outlook on their culture and steps needed to evolve how they plan to move forward in the future.

In the past, people came to work, but now the model has veered more toward work going to the people with the rise in remote working jobs. Along with that, gathering needs to make the same move depending on the needs of the company. Whether in-person or remote, employees will continue to have the need for connections within their team. Companies should consider which best fits their organization and needs, whether their connections should happen physically together or virtually.

With employees spread around, gatherings, even virtually, allow for well time spent and memories shared between co-workers. At Mint Collective, we understand that companies have different needs, and we love to help connect teams in their own unique way. Whether in-person, virtually, or by the hybrid model, our collective believes in sharing our passions to help your team gatherings inspire your team while improving company culture. Not only creating a space to meet, but to also integrate our heart and support in new environments.

As companies move into unknown territories, its important to focus on their needs but also their employees at the same time. While work may have changed, gatherings should continue to focus on the connections of co-workers and how a sense of belonging can be achieved. Resulting in a positive company culture and empowered employees who know how their company has reimagined itself to meet the changing circumstances of society.
