Connected to Nature
The growth of technology is exponentially changing the way we receive information. With widespread ideas being simultaneously being shared over social media, our minds are left to process more than ever. Although social media is a beneficial tool for businesses and individuals alike, it does not have the power to resonate with viewers the way that human connection is capable of. Captivating images and clever captions may garner a like or follow, but leave potential customers craving more. Without knowing it, they are left wanting a deeper connection to the company, one that allows them to bond with the brand and experience more than an image projected to a majority of the population.
For a brand to connect with its customers and employees on a human level, brand activations are essential in building that relationship. Recently, we had the opportunity to create a stunning brand activation experience for Revolve. This unique experience consisted of four separate road trips to three inspiring destinations; the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and the Russian River. Connecting to nature was the focus of this brand activation, from which our team created moments and spaces that would leave lasting impressions.
At the Grand Canyon guests were able to immerse themselves in the outdoors by staying at Under Canvas. Their canvas tents let you experience the night sky and landscape, while minimizing their impact on the environment and fostering connections with those around you. Guests were also able to reconnect with nature through workshops and adventures that prioritized their wellness. Dinner on the rim welcomed moments of reflection on nature’s beauty and its inspiration, as one builds deeper connections with the earth around them through experiences. While supporting local businesses we introduced moon medicine under the stars and sage cleansing workshops that further individualized their experience that taught new skills.
In Northern California, both Yosemite and Russian River guests lodged at AutoCamp, in Airstream suites that allow guests to stay in beautiful locations surrounded by nature. In Yosemite, guests were able to explore the National Park and experience the beauty of Lower Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point. In Russian River, they experienced the outdoors unlike ever before with hiking in the Redwoods and spending quality time by the campfire that helped find balance in our busy lives. They also had the opportunity to drive up the California coast and view the ocean from above the clouds on their way to Fort Ross Winery for a tour and winetasting at their vineyards.
These destinations created beautiful backdrops for Revolve’s brand activation, that accomplished more than allow for guests to interact with the brand. Their activation did not stop there, as Porsche also sponsored Revolve’s guests rides to the destinations. Together, this experience elevated the brand and forged lasting memories by personalizing its engagement with guests. With the experience economy we are in, brand activations that go beyond the usual meeting space and extend into our lives benefit from the strengthened relationship.
